Broncos get the win over the struggling Jets
The Denver Broncos beat the New York Jets to get their first win of the season. An injury-riddled Denver Broncos team was able to beat the Jets 37-28. Back-up quarterback Brett Rypien did just enough and running back Melvin Gordon sealed the game by scoring a go-ahead touchdown with 1:42 left. After this tough loss for the Jets, the voices are calling for head coach Adam Gase’s firing. On top of that this was a very ugly game from the Jets defence as they received 7 personal fouls.
Burrow and Mixon combine to get Bengals first win
The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Jacksonville Jaguars with 3 touchdowns from running back Joe Mixon. Joe Burrow, the first pick of the 2020 NFL draft, finally gets his first win after having a solid start to the season. Burrow once again threw for 300 yards but running back Joe Mixon was the difference maker this week. He ran for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns. The final score was 25-33.
The Brows hold out for the win against the Cowboys
The Cleveland Browns beat the struggling Dallas Cowboys 49-38. In one of the most exciting games of the week. Cleveland jumped out to an early lead but the Cowboys were able to come back after yet another solid performance from Dak Prescott who threw for 502 yards. The Cowboys came as close as 3 points in the fourth quarter but couldn’t complete the comeback. The main difference-maker was the Cowboys defence who couldn’t stop Cleveland’s rushing attack nor could they stop Odell Beckham Jr who scored 3 touchdowns on this occasion.
The Lions give the Saints a scare, but cannot finish the for the win
The New Orleans Saints win 35-29 after the Detroit Lions blew a 14 point lead. The Lions jumped ahead to a quick 14 point lead and then the Saints scored 35 unanswered points. This is the sixth straight 10+point lead that the Lions have blown. The Saints controlled with Drew Brees throwing for 246 yards, two TD’s and an interception.
Russell Willson continues MVP performance
The Seattle Seahawks improve to 4-0 after a comfortable win over the Miami Dolphins. The Seahawks performance was a bit less exciting than other weeks, but they were still able to pull out a 31-23 win. Miami struggled in the red-zone and Ryan Fitzpatrick put the final nail in the coffin by throwing 2 interceptions. Russell Willson threw 2 TD’s for 360 yards.
Brady wins again with the Buccaneers
Brady leads the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a comeback win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Brady proved that he can still lead a team to victory as he threw for 369 yards and 5 TD’s in the Buccaneers 31-38 comeback win. Justin Herbert played well at the beginning of the game but fell apart towards the end as he threw an interception on the final drive.
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens bounce back against Washington
After a tough loss against the Kansas City Chiefs in week 3, Baltimore had something to prove. They dominated Washington from start to finish in an easy 31-17 win. Dwayne Haskins struggled for Washington but still threw for more than 300 yards without an interception.
The Carolina Panthers get their second straight win by beating the Arizona Cardinals
The Panthers took an early 14 point lead in the first quarter and never gave it back. Kyler Murray struggled for the second week in a row as he only threw for 133 yards, even though he did have 3 touchdowns. The Panthers are looking better and better each week and should be even more dangerous once all-pro running back Christian McCaffrey returns.
Minnesota and Cousins get their first win
The Minnesota Vikings get their first win of the season by beating the Houston Texans 31-23. The Texans struggled throughout the whole game. This situation is getting worse for Deshaun Watson who has a lack of help from his offence and defence. The Vikings, on the other hand, get their first win of the season after another strong game from Dalvin Cook who had 130 yards and 2 touchdowns.
There is no hope for the Giants as they lose again
The Los Angeles Rams get an unimpressive win over the New York Giants. The Rams get the second seed in the NFC West as they beat the Giants 17-9. The most eventful part of the game came after the final whistle blew. Golden Tate and Jalen Ramsey exchanged blows in the middle of the field. Both teams tried to separate them but it was reported that Ramsey waited outside of the Giants locker room after the game.
The Colts win with a strong performance on defence
Defense from both teams leads to a low scoring win for the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts beat the Chicago Bears 19-11. Both offences struggled to score as two of the best defences faced each other. The game-changer was the Colts’ rushing attack who got over 100 yards as opposed to the Bears’ rushing who only managed to run for 28 yards.
The Bills stay undefeated with win over the Raiders
The Buffalo Bills remain undefeated by beating the Las Vegas Raiders. Josh Allen shook off a hard hit in the second quarter as he scored 2 passing TD’s and threw for 288 yards. The Bills are looking more and more like a serious contender every week, but they have some tough matchups coming up in the next few weeks to prove if they can compete with the best. The Raiders, on the other hand, have their own hard matchup coming up next week as they have to play against division rival Kansas City.
The Eagles surprise and beat the 49ers
The Philadelphia Eagles get their first win of the season against the injury-stricken San Francisco 49ers. The struggling Eagles were able to stop backup quarterback Nick Mullins as they beat the 49ers 25-20.
The Cheif’s winning train keeps on going
The Kansas City Chiefs easily win against the Patriots. The Patriots had no chance of winning as Cam Newton couldn’t play due to covid-19. The Chiefs didn’t have the best game themselves but still won 10-26.
The Packers and Rodgers remain undefeated
The final game of week 4 was the Atlanta Falcons against the Green Bay Packers. Despite injuries to his top receivers, Aaron Rodgers still had an efficient game. He threw for 327 yards and 4 TD’s as they beat the Falcons 16-30 to remain undefeated this season. Aaron Rodgers is playing as good as ever and can maybe even make a case for MVP if he keeps playing like this.
