Texans destroy the Lions on Thanksgiving

Deshaun Watson was dropping bombs in this matchup, throwing for four touchdowns and over 300 passing yards. He was the biggest bright spot for the now 4-7 Houston Texans, defeating the 4-7 Detroit Lions 41-25 with everybody watching. JJ Watt also had a massive defensive display with plucking a Matt Stafford pass out of the air from close range to steal a pick-six for the defence.

Washington embarrasses Cowboys in second Thanksgiving game

This game was competitive throughout the first three quarters until Washington began to completely flip the momentum. The Football Team put up 21 points in the fourth quarter while shutting the Cowboys out in the final frame. Seven of those 21 points came on a pick-sixpick six by a defensive lineman on Andy Dalton. This was yet another disappointing game for the Cowboys as they dropped to 3-8 on the season while Washington continues their battle for first in the division at 4-7 following the 41-16 blowout.

Miami stifles the Jets yet again

With rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa out for this matchup due to a thumb injury, veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick took over the starting job and delivered. Throwing for two touchdowns and 257 yards. The same can’t be said for the New York Jets, as they recently got their young quarterback Sam Darnold back from injury, but he was only able to throw for 197 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions on the way to their 20-3 loss. This game keeps the Jets winless on the season at 0-11 while Miami stays alive in the playoff hunt at 7-4.

Patriots upset Kyler Murray and the Cardinals in final seconds

Kyler Murray didn’t seem himself in the teams 20-17 loss to the Patriots. He threw for 170 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while only running the ball five times. It seemed that his shoulder injury was clearly bothering him a little bit as their offenceoffense wasn’t able to get anything going all game long. Cam Newton ended up leading a scoring drive at the end of the game, finishing with a field goal as time expired to put the Patriots to 5-6 on the year while Arizona fell to 6-5.

Kirk Cousins leads comeback drive over Panthers

It was an ugly game for the now 5-6 Minnesota Vikings, but they were able to pull off the 27-28 victory over the 4-8 Carolina Panthers anyways. Kirk Cousins had thrown for 307 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, including a long touchdown drive with under two minutes remaining the game which gave them the lead. Teddy Bridgewater and the Panthers ended up marching into field goal range with a few seconds left but kicker Joey Slye missed the long field goal, sealing a Vikings win.

Cleveland keeps finding ways to win after victory over Jaguars

Cleveland hasn’t looked very good in any of their last five games, but they have kept on winning without star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The Browns were able to rush for over 200 yards as a team as well as passing for 258 and two touchdowns. However, they had a lot of trouble slowing down the Mike Glennon led Jaguars offenceoffense, allowing multiple big shots down the field. Cleveland did end up closing the game out in the final seconds with a big first down from Nick Chubb to seal the 27-25 victory. Cleveland keeps their playoff hopes alive at 8-3 while Jacksonville fights for the number one overall pick at 1-10.

Derrick Henry plays like an MVP as Titans crush the Colts

After the Indianapolis Colts huge victory a few weeks ago, the Tennessee Titans were looking for revenge in this game and they got it. Tennessee won 45-26 behind Henry’s 178 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Indianapolis just had no answer for the freight train running back and had issues scoring the ball on the offensive side all day long. It just wasn’t the Colts week as they drop to 7-4 while the Titans take sole possession of 1stfirst place in the division at 8-3.

New York Giants defeat Cincinnati Bengals but lose their quarterback

The Giants won the game 19-17 with the game being decided in the closing seconds of regulation but they ended up losing a key piece to their offenceoffense in the win. Quarterback Daniel Jones hurt his hamstring pretty bad halfway through the matchup and the team is bracing for him to miss multiple weeks with that injury. Meanwhile, the Bengals had almost no offensive success without their rookie franchise quarterback Joe Burrow. Cincinnati is looking right at another top pick this year at 2-8-1 while the Giants are somehow in first place in their division at 4-7.

Josh Allen leads Bills past Chargers

The whole fan base of the Buffalo Bills got a scare when they saw Allen go down awkwardly with an ankle injury early in the game. He was able to come back and finish the game, throwing for 157 yards with a touchdown and an interception in their 27-17 victory. Chargers rookie phenom quarterback Justin Herbert did all he could to get a win but was unable to put up enough points. He did throw for 316 yards, one touchdown and one interception though. Los Angeles found something special in him but still have a lot of holes to fill in as they are 3-8. Buffalo remains in first place in their division with the win and moves up to 8-3.

Falcons decimate the Raiders

After starting the game sloppily, the game continued to get worse for the Derek Carr led Raiders. He fumbled twice while throwing an interception and only put together 215 passing yards in their 43-6 loss. Atlanta completely stole the show at home in this game with Matt Ryan passing for 185 yards, two touchdowns and only one interception. This was an outcome that not many people expected as the Raiders seemed to overlook this Falcons squad. Las Vegas falls to 6-5 while Atlanta moves to 4-7.

49ers upset the Rams in a key division battle

The 49ers were able to win this division game against the Rams 23-20 in a matchup that saw Richard Sherman and Raheem Mostert finally come back to action after missing so much time from injury. Nick Mullens didn’t have the greatest stat line with 252 yards, no touchdowns and an interception but he did enough to lead his team to a tough win. It was their defencedefense though that deserves the credit as they limited Jared Goff to 198 yards and two interceptions with no touchdowns. San Francisco keeps themselves alive in the playoff race at 5-6 while the Rams lose their advantage over the Seahawks and fall to 7-4.

Mahomes defeats Brady in a memorable showdown

Patrick Mahomes looked unstoppable yet again this week, throwing for 462 yards and three touchdowns without an interception in their 27-24 victory over the Tom Brady led Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a fascinating showing from wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who consistently broke open and finished with 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns. For Tampa, they played hard until the end but weren’t able to overcome Brady’s two interceptions in this matchup. This game may have been a preview of this year’syears Super Bowl even if unlikely, as Kansas City moved up to 10-1 with the win while the Buccaneers lost yet again and fell to 7-5.

Broncos lose to the Saints without a quarterback

This happened to be one of the most interesting games of the week ever since it was announced that all four of Denver’s quarterbacks are ineligible to play in the game due to being in close contact with a player that was COVID positive. This left practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton to start at quarterback against one of the best defencesdefenses in the league right now. They forced three turnovers on Hinton and the Denver offenceoffense while rushing for 229 yards and four touchdowns as a team en route to their 31-3 victory. New Orleans sits at 9-2 on the year while Denver falls to 4-7.

Chicago Bears lose a fifth straight game, this time to Green Bay Packers

Chicago started the year 5-1 but is now only 5-6 as they can’t seem to figure it out on the offensive side of the ball. Nick Foles was unable to suit up for this game which meant that Mitchell Trubisky took over the starting role after being benched earlier in the season. They struggled yet again in their 41-25 loss to the Packers that really wasn’t that close, to begin with. The score was 41-10 before a few garbage-timegarbage time touchdowns by the Bears. Future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns without an interception to help his team move to 8-3 and drop the Bears to 5-6.

Seahawks get the best of the Eagles 23-17

The combination of Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf is arguably one of the best in the entire league. Metcalf had a career-high career-high in receiving yards this game with 177 yards out of the 230 that Wilson passed for this game. However, it was actually their defence that helped win them this game despite their horrific performance all season long. They forced multiple three and outs for the Eagles while intercepting Wentz in the red zone during the second half. It was another disappointing loss for an Eagles team that is questioning who their starting quarterback should be while dropping to 3-7-1. On the other hand, Seattle takes sole possession of 1stfirst place in their division at 8-3 after the Rams loss to the 49ers.

Steelers squeak past Ravens in postponed matchup

This game got moved three times due to multiple staff and players showing positive results, so in the end, this game was played on Wednesday afternoon. It was still an exciting matchup all the way through. Pittsburgh moved the ball very well on the offensive side while the Ravens struggled without Lamar Jackson against the Steelers dominant defence. In the end, the Steelers held control for most of the game until a few slip-ups allowed Baltimore to keep it close. Pittsburgh took the 19-14 victory to
